


Red Dates 红枣 - Also known to nourish the blood like Angelica Roots

Angelica Roots 当归 - Renowned for its main function as a blood tonic, Angelica is a potent Chinese medicinal tonic used for enhancing blood circulation. Its most commonly use by women who consume it on a regular basis to maintain regularity in monthly menstruation cycles.

Wolfberry 枸杞 - Very high in antioxidant properties, Chinese Wolfberry is commonly consumed to promote good eyesight. It particularly nourishes liver and kidney functions and is also greatly valued for delaying ageing, boosting energy and improving internal strength.
My family love this dish and I'm more than happy when they requested me to cook this for them the other day. I added Chinese Angelica Roots 当归Wolfberries枸杞 Chinese Red Dates 红枣 the main herbal ingredients to this dish . I used a Scanpan titanium oval roaster for this recipe , you may use casserole with cover
Ingredients
1 Kampong chicken ( free-range chicken )
Ingredients

9 slices angelica roots
A handful wolfberries ( the more the merrier to enhance the overall flavor )
12 pitted red dates
6 garlics ( skin on )
Sauce ingredients
2 tablespoon oyster sauce
Sauce ingredients
2 tablespoon oyster sauce
3 tablespoon premium red dates dark sauce
2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
Half teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
600 ml water
Method
Wash chicken , drained and stuff some garlics , red dates , and angelica roots into chicken cavity , the remaining into the casserole. Add seasoning into casserole and rub some onto chicken. Add water , cover and bake at 200 Celsius for an hour in a preheated oven. When done , removed chicken and chop into bite size. Serve chicken drizzle with the aromatic sauce with steamed rice immediately.

Bake for 1 hour at 200C.... very expensive lor.. hahahah!!!

Mmm...very delicious dish. I need lots of this to keep me warm and healthy here. I have never tried it baked. Both gas and electricity are equally expensive here so bakinbg is a good idea. It's clean and I can bake other stuff at the same time too. Thanks for sharing.

This looks very delicious...I've never seen wolfberries, but they look alot like gogi berries you see in thr store here. I'll have to try it.
