Char Siew Fried Rice



I love fried rice , it is easy to prepare and it tastes good too.I bought half kilo of char siew the other day and I've planned to fry rice for dinner and also kept some to do fried rice the next morning for Jermaine to bring to school and share with his classmates.

Ingredients ( serves 4 )

Some cooked rice from previous night
200 gram char siew ( Chinese barbeque pork ) diced
2 large eggs ( lightly beaten and seasoned with salt and pepper )
Some minced garlic
Some fresh spring onion for garnishing ( chopped )

Seasoning

2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
2 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon belacan granules ( optional )
1teaspoon salt
Some white pepper powder

Method

In a heated wok with some oil , saute minced garlic till golden , pushed aside , pour in beaten eggs , scramble and break up the eggs , add in rice follow by char siew. Fry over high heat till well combined , add in seasoning and continue to fry over high heat till fragrant. Garnish with chopped spring onion and serve hot immediately..... enjoy !

Dear..i don't know many ingredients in this dish but they are come together really well in that bowl. Very tempting!

It's been a little while since I've made fried rice but you've got me wanting to go to the market and buy some char siew/barbecued pork! Now, I just have to figure out where to find belachan granules.

hahahaha... Wendy , its belacan granules... try it, it is very fragrant but of course some people dislike the strong pungent of belacan so it is optional
